It started with a drawer full of old underwear.
No, really.
The founder of GiveWhere was standing in her bedroom holding a pile of underwear she'd outgrown — not worn out, just done with — and had absolutely no idea what to do with them. Trash felt wrong. Donation bins don't take underwear. Google was not helpful. So she did what most of us do: she shoved them back in the drawer and thought about it later.
That moment stuck. Because if she didn't know what to do with underwear — something so basic, so common, so universally outgrown — what else were people just throwing away out of pure confusion?
GiveWhere was built to answer that question. For underwear, yes. But also for old electronics, mismatched furniture, expired car seats, half-used paint cans, and everything else you genuinely want to handle responsibly but have no idea how. We find the most sustainable option near you — donate, recycle, rehome, or dispose of properly — so the right choice is actually the easy one.
The sustainable choice should be the easy choice. Every time.
Community First
We connect people to local organizations, not national chains. Your neighborhood benefits first.
Reduce Before Recycle
Donation and rehoming are always the first options. Recycling is the backup. Landfill is never the answer.
Radical Simplicity
If it takes more than 30 seconds to figure out what to do with something, we've already done our job.
Meet the Founder
Felicia Sousa is a digital marketing strategist, entrepreneur, and the founder of GiveWhere. With over a decade of experience building brands across wine, tech, and consumer lifestyle, she has led marketing strategy for some of the most respected names in the California wine industry — including Quivira Vineyards, Rutherford Wine Company, Trinchero Family Estates, and the Lodi Wine Grape Commission — and holds a Sustainability Consulting certification from the University of Illinois.
GiveWhere grew out of a deeply personal frustration: she was standing in her bedroom with a pile of old underwear, genuinely trying to do the right thing, and had no idea where to start. That moment became a company. Today, GiveWhere is a lifestyle sustainability platform built to make responsible disposal the default — not the exception.
Felicia runs her independent marketing agency, Atelier Sousa, alongside GiveWhere, serving wine and sustainability-focused brands from the San Francisco Bay Area. She believes the sustainable choice should always be the easy choice, and she built GiveWhere to prove it.
